The Queen of Hearts

Gramps and I had a little Valentine celebration brunch for our favorite granddaughter after a Sunday morning visit to the Minnesota Children's Museum. I set the table with red placemats trimmed with white rick-rack and heart decorated plates and napkins. The guest of honor wore her crown (of course) and a pink bandanna bib!

The queen's mother requested a light menu as they were attending a super bowl party later in the afternoon (read no egg bake, sausages or waffles).

The Bill of Fare included as many red goodies as I could find: a fruit bowl of strawberries and raspberries with a few clementine slices tossed in for good measure, warm croissants with butter and strawberry preserves, tasty jelly doughnut holes, cranberry scones and sparkling cherry juice spritzers!

  1. That is soooo cute! I'm working on a gluten-free Valentine's Day for my grand Izzie....she could surely relate to that tiara!
