The Ultimate Tuna Sandwich ...














~Tuna Sandwiches with Red Grapes and Green Olives~
Katie came for lunch today. She's passed the half way mark in her pregnancy and tells me she needs to eat a lot of protein right now. I made tuna sandwiches, starting with light tuna packed in water and well-drained, a little mayo, some sliced green olives, seedless red grapes, walnuts, fresh basil and lots of pepper! I mixed it altogether and served it on toasted 12-grain bread. She gave it her thumb's-up!

  1. Ohmigoodness, I CRAVED protein while pregnant, especially fish. I even went thru a phase of eating tuna straight from the can! Glad you went the civilized route, actually eating it on bread and all. I've never tried grapes with tuna, but can see how that could be really good!
