You still have time to add these yummy mini sandwiches to your New Year's menu!

These delicious little appetizer sandwiches can be made the day before you serve them, which is a real plus. Savory ham and Swiss cheese are baked inside rolls with a flavorful spread to form delectable mini sandwiches. They make an amazing appetizer to feed a crowd. We served them instead of a meal on Christmas Eve and everyone loved them. I made three dozen, along with a crock pot filled with meatballs. There was also a spectacular cheese with chutney, artichoke dip with crackers and a plate of fresh veggies and dip. It was so much easier to serve than a dinner and the guests were able to graze and nibble all afternoon. We also served a wonderful array of cookies, bars and my chocolate-cherry cake.

HOT HAM SANDWICHES
Ingredients:
2 Dozen silver dollar buns or other small rolls
48 slices ham (bake ham)
24 half slices Sargento Swiss cheese
1 cup butter (not margarine)
1 Tbs. Worcestershire
2 Tbs. poppy seeds
2 Tbs. mustard
4 Tbs brown sugar
Directions:
Please 2 slices of ham and 1/2 slice cheese on each bun. Arrange sandwiches on a cookie sheet with sides. I line the cookie sheet with foil first. Mix all other ingredients and pour mixture over closed sandwiches. Wrap with foil and refrigerate overnight. Bake (covered) at 325 degrees for 25 minutes, until bubbling. Uncover and bake for 5 more minutes. Watch carefully so the sugar doesn't burn.

Note: Think Super Bowl party! These would be great served along side a big pot of chili.
