Let the fun begin!

Dear Readers,

It's finally here, a brand-spanking-new month! And with the arrival of November comes the opportunity for me to join the challenge that is National Blog Posting Month, a thirty day posting extravaganza!

The first coordinated blog posting month was back in 2006, the creation of American blogger Eden M. Kennedy. Kennedy was inspired by National Novel Writing Month, which also happens in November. Since NaNoWriMo is a colossal undertaking that not everyone can finish (read me), she decided there should be a blogging equivalent. And NaBloPoMo was born.

You must be a blogger to join NaBloPoMo. It's perfect training for people who want to get in the habit of daily blogging - by committing to blogging every day for a month, including weekends. I tried NaNoWriMo last year (write a novel of 50,000 words in a month) and found it impossible for my lifestyle, my writing style and my serious lack of discipline. Then I tried blogging every day for a month and had great success with that project. Please join me as I attempt to post something new every day for the next thirty days, for your viewing pleasure!
