Hang a wreath to add instant holiday cheer!
It's December 2 and things are perking along nicely here at my blog. I bought a fresh wreath at Menards last week for the excellent price of $7.99. Then I found perfect vintage goodies to trim it at a wonderful Christmas Bazaar a friend of my daughter's hosted. I discovered flower-shaped colored aluminum light reflectors (circa 1940's) and a vintage holiday corsage, which I attached with wire. I think my wreath definitely says Merry Christmas!
FYI: Because a wreath is circular, it symbolizes eternity. And because it's made out of fresh greens, it also represents life in the dead of winter. The wreath was first used as a hanging decoration in the 15th century. I think our wreath adds a cheery welcome at our front door.
