Grandma Mimi's dilly bread ...

My mother-in-law made this all the time. It's one of our favorite garlic breads to have with spaghetti. I buy Vienna or Italian bread when it's on sale and make up several loaves to have in the freezer. That way, I can always have some on hand for unexpected company or family dinners.

DILLY BREAD
1 Loaf of your favorite sliced Vienna bread from bakery
1-1/2 Sticks butter or margarine
1 - 2 cloves minced garlic (or use garlic powder to taste)
1 Tbsp. dried dill
Combine butter with garlic and dill - mash well using a fork. Spread one side of bread and stack slices, one on top of the next. I divide the loaves in half, then wrap in foil, place in a plastic bag and freeze until ready to use. Thaw bread and bake in a 300 degree oven for 30 minutes.
