A Twist On A Classic American Sandwich















Everyone loves a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich, right? Ergo, who wouldn't love those same ingredients in salad form? This tasty summer supper is fast and easy. And only five ingredients! Cook the pasta early in the morning before the day heats up. You can use bottled dressing or make your own. You can add croutons, cooked diced chicken, sliced black olives or diced red onion. Let your imagination, and your tummy, be your guide!
BLT Pasta Salad
Ingredients:
1/2 package elbow macaroni (about 2 cups)
8 slices bacon; cooked & coarsely crumbled
1 cup grape tomatoes; cut in half
1 bag romaine
1/2 cup Thousand Island or Bleu Cheese Dressing
How to Prepare BLT Pasta Salad:
Cook macaroni, chill in cold water and drain. In large bowl, combine macaroni, bacon, tomatoes, romaine and dressing. Serves 2-4.
