Three Cookies From Two Smart Cookies

My daughter brought treats from a new cookie shop on Snelling Avenue here in St. Paul called Two Smart Cookies. After carefully considering my options (Chocolate Chip, Snickerdoodle, Ginger) I chose the Triple Ginger and I'm here to tell you it was AWESOME! Soft, chewy and gingery, just the way I like my ginger cookies. In addition to their Everyday Favorites, they sell Brownies, Bars and Specialty Cookies with yummy sounding names like Cherry Almond, Pistachio Craisin, Maple Pecan and Frosted Malted. They also sell a Vegan Peanut Chocolate Chip and a Flourless Peanut Butter.

The two smart cookies behind this enterprise are Minnesota State Fair award-winning bakers Melanie Danke and Patty Mathews. All of their goodies include natural ingredients and incorporate whole grains. And they're minimally packaged, making them a better choice for the environment.

  1. Why is all the good stuff over in St. Paul? It's the same with Asian food too. There's a place on Rice and Larpenteur called Princess Garden that has the best food Asian food I've ever had. You usually wait a long time to get your food but I think that's because everything is handmade from scratch after you order it.
