Make Christmas merry with a handmade Christmas ornament!

Years ago, my daughter and I made ornaments at Christmas and gave them to family and friends as little gifts or used them as package decorations. I came across this ornament today and thought I'd share the "how-to-make-it" instructions with you. It's an easy and fun project. You need a glue gun and ribbon, as well as almonds and filberts in the shell. Glue guns can be dangerous, so never let a young child use one. I have burned my own pinkies on hot glue, so be extra careful! Start by placing 6 almonds and one filbert in a flower or star shape. Glue each almond to the center filbert and then loop a ribbon for hanging. And voila! You've got a fabulous little ornament finished in a twinkling of Santa's eye!

  1. This is delightful! I'm gonna do them with buckey centers since I'm a Buckeye born and bred Ohioan!
